"I recently started watching the online videos and am greatly enjoying this course! As someone who has not had proper education in training horses before, it is fascinating to see and have explained things that I have so far done with a gut-instinct, not knowing whether they're "right" from a professional point of view. It is also great to have the reasoning behind behind the method and all the other elements, like body language etc., explained; it all makes sense and that's the best way to learn. Looking at these horses and hearing what you say about their experiences and resulting mindset teaches me about my own self, too; I find we're all the same really and I'm learning as much as the horse! Thank you."
"Lovey's ridden video was great! Best illustration I've seen on what correct lateral movements look like."

How to help your 'hot' horse slow down and think through situations and problem solve, rather than escalate and go off the handle.
"Wow. Very interesting to see how quick the mental change can be! Definitely appreciate getting the horse to work with their mind "turned on" and how to not lose cool or consistency when the horse has a moment. I've been around a lot of people who want to get the horse to do things in little time and create horses that are hard to work with. I cannot say how much I appreciate this method of teaching and relationship building enough. It really makes the difference! I do not own a OTTB, but I do have a horse who was never taught to slow down and think. Great video and very helpful."

"I'm trying to find the right words to describe why this session seemed more clear to me than many on the same topic. Uncluttered and holistic are two words that come to mind. Minimal equipment to get in the way of understanding your aids. Everything in slow relaxed movements. Clear contrast especially along shadow line between the different types of lateral movements. Good explanations as an integral part of what was being ridden, describing what you felt, what the horse felt, and what you would do to counter any unwanted states or movements. The video coverage was well done, but the more important thing to me was lack of tension throughout. There was nothing mechanical about any of it, and I found myself mentally riding along and feeling, rather than fixating on specific aids or trying to dissect what I was seeing. My horse and I have a long way to go, but this will be a baseline video for me that I'll refer back to many times, and will use as a means to plug in other things I see, hear or read to make better sense of stray pieces of information I collect from various sources on suppling and lateral movements."
